At Cynex Systems, we develop functional engineering prototypes that transform concepts, research ideas, and preliminary designs into working physical systems. Our prototyping services are particularly focused on automation machinery, robotic and mechatronic systems, laboratory and research equipment, agricultural technologies, and specialized industrial machines.
We support projects from the early concept stage through mechanical design, component selection, fabrication, assembly, and functional testing. Our team can develop prototypes that integrate mechanical structures, robotic mechanisms, actuators, sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electric motors, servo drives, linear motion systems, control hardware, and custom end-effectors. This allows individual components and complete systems to be evaluated under realistic operating conditions before moving toward final production.
For factories and industrial facilities, we develop prototypes for automated machines, robotic workstations, material-handling systems, inspection equipment, custom tooling, production fixtures, pick-and-place mechanisms, and other manufacturing solutions. For universities and research institutes, we can support the development of experimental platforms, laboratory devices, research robots, testing equipment, and proof-of-concept systems that require customized mechanical and mechatronic solutions.

In agriculture, our prototyping capabilities can be applied to robotic harvesting systems, crop monitoring equipment, agricultural automation, machine-vision systems, mobile platforms, specialized grippers, and other technologies designed to operate in challenging outdoor environments. For industrial applications, we develop prototypes that combine mechanical engineering with automation, robotics, machine vision, sensing, motion control, pneumatics, hydraulics, and intelligent systems.
Our prototyping process allows designs to be physically tested before significant investment is made in production. We evaluate functionality, mechanical movement, structural performance, component interaction, actuator selection, sensor placement, control requirements, manufacturability, and system integration. Design problems can therefore be identified and corrected early, reducing development risks and improving the reliability of the final system.
Cynex Systems can also develop prototypes as a complete engineering platform, including 3D CAD design, custom mechanical parts, fabrication, 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet-metal components, electrical and control integration, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits, robotic mechanisms, and testing. This integrated approach is especially valuable for projects where conventional off-the-shelf equipment cannot meet the required application.
Whether you are developing a new factory automation machine, a university research device, an agricultural robot, a robotic manipulator, a pneumatic or hydraulic mechanism, or a specialized mechatronic system, Cynex Systems helps turn the initial concept into a functional prototype ready for further development, testing, and production.
