We also support rapid prototyping and iterative machine development. Sheet metal components can be quickly modified as a machine or robotic system evolves, allowing structural designs, mounting locations, access points, and protective elements to be optimized before final production.
Cynex Systems can integrate sheet metal fabrication with our broader capabilities in CAD design, CNC machining, 3D printing, robotics, automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, machine vision, and mechatronics. This enables us to develop complete engineering solutions rather than treating fabrication as an isolated manufacturing process. Whether you require a custom machine enclosure, robotic structure, automation frame, laboratory housing, agricultural component, protective guard, or specialized sheet metal assembly, we can support the project from engineering design and prototyping through fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing.

Our sheet metal fabrication capabilities include:
- Custom sheet metal components
- Machine frames and structures
- Equipment enclosures and housings
- Protective guards and covers
- Brackets and mounting plates
- Robotic and mechatronic structures
- Automation machine components
- Electrical and mechanical enclosures
- Laboratory and research equipment
- Agricultural machinery components
- Custom fixtures and tooling
- Laser-cut and bent components
- Welded and assembled structures
- Prototype and low-volume fabrication
- CAD-to-fabrication manufacturing
- Custom machine and equipment structures
- Integration with machining, 3D printing, and other manufacturing processes
At Cynex Systems, we provide custom sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing solutions for mechanical structures, machine components, enclosures, brackets, guards, frames, and specialized parts used in automation, robotics, mechatronics, research, agriculture, and industrial applications. We combine engineering design with practical fabrication methods to develop components that meet the functional, structural, dimensional, and application-specific requirements of each project.
We work from 3D CAD models, 2D engineering drawings, sketches, samples, or customer requirements to develop and manufacture custom sheet metal components. Our engineering-driven approach considers material selection, thickness, bending requirements, structural strength, mounting points, clearances, assembly, accessibility, and manufacturability from the beginning of the design process. For factory automation and industrial machinery, we fabricate machine frames, equipment panels, protective guards, covers, brackets, mounting structures, electrical and mechanical enclosures, operator-access panels, and other custom components. These parts can be designed around specific machines and integrated directly with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems.
In robotics and mechatronics, sheet metal fabrication provides an efficient method for creating strong yet relatively lightweight structures and protective components. We can manufacture robot mounting structures, equipment housings, sensor supports, actuator brackets, protective covers, control-system enclosures, and custom structural components designed around the geometry and operating requirements of the robotic system.
For universities, research institutes, and laboratories, we fabricate custom frames, equipment housings, experimental structures, laboratory enclosures, testing fixtures, mounting systems, and specialized research equipment. These components can be customized to accommodate unique instruments, sensors, actuators, electronics, and experimental mechanisms.
For agricultural equipment and agricultural robotics, we develop sheet metal structures and components suitable for machinery and field-based systems. These may include protective covers, equipment frames, sensor housings, brackets, mounting structures, robotic components, and other parts designed to withstand demanding operating environments.
Our fabrication process can incorporate laser cutting, bending, forming, welding, machining, fastening, and mechanical assembly, allowing multiple manufacturing operations to be combined into a complete component or assembly. This integrated approach helps maintain consistency between the original CAD design and the final manufactured product.
